You can make a payment through mobile or online banking using any checking account opened within the United States. Please note, if you’d like to pay using a checking account that’s not on file, you’ll need to add it to digital banking first. Review the steps in the “Add a payment account” section below to find out how.
If you have multiple accounts with U.S. Bank, follow these steps.
- Select Bill payments, then choose Pay bills & U.S. Bank accounts.
Mobile users only: Select Pay bills & transfer, then choose Pay a bill. - Locate your mortgage account and select an amount to pay. You can choose one or more of the following items:
- Mortgage payment (i.e., monthly amount due).
- Additional amount towards the principle balance.
- Additional escrow amount.
- Use the drop-down menu to choose which account* you’d like to pay from.
- Change the payment date, if desired.
- When ready, select Review & pay to submit the payment.
If you only have a mortgage with U.S. Bank, follow these steps.
- Select your mortgage account from the dashboard and choose View, pay & manage.
- Choose Payment at the top of the page.
Mobile users only: Open the main menu first (three vertical dots), then choose “Payment”. - Choose to pay the Monthly payment or Other payment. Options include paying an additional amount towards your principle balance or escrow account.
- Use the drop-down menu to choose which account* you’d like to pay from.
- Change the payment date, if desired.
- When ready, select Submit payment.

Here’s how to add a checking account that’s not on file with U.S. Bank.
- Select your mortgage account from the dashboard.
- If you have multiple U.S. Bank accounts, choose View and manage.
- If you only have a mortgage, choose View, pay & manage.
- Choose Payment at the top of the page.
Mobile users only: Open the main menu first (three vertical dots), then choose “Payment”. - Locate the “Payment methods” section and choose Add account.
- Enter your payment information and select Save.
