Paying your mortgage using digital banking is quick and easy to do. It’s also one of our more efficient ways to pay. And we do offer other options such as paying at a branch, by phone or by mail. View our More information section below for additional details.

To pay your mortgage using online banking (if you have multiple accounts)

1. Select Transfer & pay, then choose Pay bills.
2. Locate your mortgage account and complete the following fields:
   1. Amount: Use the drop-down menu to choose and enter how much to pay.
      Note: You can choose to pay more than one of these at the same time.
      • Mortgage payment (i.e., monthly amount due).
      • Additional principal amount.
      • Additional escrow amount.
   2. Deliver by (optional): Select the calendar icon and choose a new day if you want to pay on a future date. Otherwise, the date defaults to the same day you’re paying the bill.
   3. Pay from: Use the drop-down menu to choose the account you’d like to pay from.
      Note: You can select Add an external account if you want to add a deposit account that’s not listed.

3. When ready, select Review & pay.
4. Review the payment details. If correct, select Pay.

To pay your mortgage using the U.S. Bank Mobile App (if you have multiple accounts)

1. Select Transfer & pay, then choose Pay bills.
2. Locate and select your mortgage account.
3. Select Make a payment and complete the following fields:
   1. Amount: Select this tile if you want to change how much to pay. Otherwise, the amount is automatically defaulted to the “Mortgage payment”.
      Note: You can choose to pay more than one of these at the same time.
      • Mortgage payment (i.e., monthly amount due).
      • Additional principal amount.
      • Additional escrow amount.
   2. Deliver payment by (optional): Select this tile and choose a new day if you want to pay on a future date. Otherwise, the date defaults to the same day you’re paying the bill.
   3. From: Select this tile to choose the account you’d like to pay from.
      Note: You can select Add an external account if you want to add a deposit account that’s not listed.

4. When ready, select Pay now.
5. Review the payment details. If correct, select Pay.

Mortgage only account holders: To pay your mortgage using online banking and the U.S. Bank Mobile App 

1. Select your mortgage account from the dashboard and choose View, pay & manage.
2. Online banking: Choose Payment at the top of the page.
   U.S. Bank Mobile App: Open the main menu first (three vertical dots below your name) and choose Payment.
3. Choose Monthly payment or Other payment, then complete the following:
   Note: If you’re enrolled in autopay, first choose Make an additional payment, then Other payment.
   1. Monthly payment: Use the Payment field and enter the monthly amount due.
   2. Other payment (optional): Use the Additional principal and/or Additional escrow fields and enter the amount(s) you’d like to pay.
   3. Payment method: Use the drop-down menu to choose which account you'd like to pay from.
   4. Payment date: Select the calendar icon and choose a new day if you want to pay on a future date. Otherwise, the date defaults to the same day you’re paying the bill.
4. When ready, select Submit payment.
5. Review the payment details. If correct, select Authorize payment.

To view the payoff for your mortgage using online banking

1. Select your mortgage account, then select Request payoff quote. 
2. Choose the day you'd like the payoff through, then select Request payoff quote. 
   Note: The payoff quote is valid only through the date selected. 
3. Choose how you'd like to receive the quote. Options are found below the payoff details. 

• • Text, email, or download: The quote can be sent by text, emailed to one or two email addresses or it can be downloaded as a PDF file. This gives you the flexibility to print it, send it to another number or address, and save it for your records. 
  • Mail or fax: We can send you a paper version of the payoff quote. Just let us know where to send it. Estimated mail delivery is five to seven days and it's sent to the mailing address on file. To ensure your fax request gets to you, please check your fax machine to see if it's on, has paper and ink, and is connected to the land line or applicable network. In the event the first fax attempt is unsuccessful, we'll make two additional attempts to send your quote.

• Instructions to submit payment using wire transfer or check are included in the letter. 
• The payoff quote includes all calculated interest up to the date selected.

U.S. Bank may receive properties through the foreclosure process or by a deed in lieu of foreclosure on loans we service.

Easily make a payment to your credit card, loan, lease or line of credit in your digital banking.

To make a payment using online banking and the U.S. Bank Mobile App

1. Select Transfer & pay, then choose Pay bills.
2. Choose the bill you'd like to pay.
3. Select the payment date and amount.
4. Choose the checking or savings account to pay from.
5. Select Review & pay, then choose Pay to confirm.

Setting up autopay is easier than ever. When you've gone through the process, we'll provide you a confirmation page to review. It'll tell you when the first payment starts, how much is being paid, and what date it'll be paid each month.

To set up autopay using online banking

1.  Select Transfer & pay at the top of the page, then choose Pay bills. 
   • If you don't have a checking or savings account, you'll simply select Pay bills.
2. Choose the account you want automatically paid, by clicking on it, then choose Autopay set up now (found on the right side of the page).
3. Optional: We encourage you to review the terms of service before starting autopay. 
4. Provide the following information.  
   • Pay this amount: Choose how much to pay.
     Options include minimum payment, statement balance, minimum payment with extra, or other amount.
     Note: Only the minimum due can be selected for a home equity line of credit account. 
   • Send payments before or on due date: Choose when you'd like the payment to be delivered.
     This is considered the day the payment is made, also known as the transaction date.
   • Pay from: Choose the account to pay from.
     If you're paying from an external account, you'll need to add it to your list of external payment accounts before setting up autopay.
5. Select Continue to review your autopay settings. If they look good, choose Start autopay.  

To set up autopay using the U.S. Bank Mobile App

1. Select Transfer & pay at the bottom of the dashboard, then choose Pay bills.
2. Choose the account you want automatically paid and then choose Autopay set up now
3. Optional: We encourage you to review the terms of service before starting autopay.
   Note: Only the minimum due can be selected for a home equity line of credit account.  
4. Provide the following information.  
   • Amount to pay: Choose how much to pay.
     Options include minimum payment, statement balance, minimum payment with extra, or other amount.
   • Make payments: Choose when you'd like the payment to be delivered.
     This is considered the day the payment is made, also known as the transaction date.
   • Pay from: Choose the account to pay from.
     If you're paying from an external account, you'll need to add it to your list of external payment accounts before setting up autopay.
5. If everything looks good, choose Start autopay.

If you've recently changed your due date, you'll need to wait until after the new due date to set up autopay.

Setting up a recurring transfer between your U.S. Bank accounts is easy. 

To set up a recurring internal transfer using online banking 

1. Select Transfer & pay and then choose Transfers.
2. Choose which account you'd like to transfer money from and to. 
3. Enter the amount and select the date of your transfer (if it's other than today).
4. Select the checkbox next to Repeat this transfer. 
5. Choose the frequency and when to stop it.
6. Review your transfer details and if everything is correct, select Send transfer. 

To transfer money using the U.S. Bank Mobile App 

1. Select Transfer & pay and then choose Transfers.
2. Choose the account to transfer funds from and select Continue.
3. Select the account to transfer funds to and select Continue.
4. Enter the amount and select the date of your transfer (if it's other than today).
5. Use the toggle switch next to Repeat this transfer. 
6. Choose the frequency and when to stop it, then select Continue.
7. Review your transfer details and if everything is correct, select Send transfer. 

More information

• Transactions made on weekends, holidays or after midnight local time will be processed on the next business day.
• The internal money transfer cut-off times for the same business day are as follows:
  • Checking, savings and reserve lines: 12 a.m. local time.¹
  • Checking or savings payments to a first mortgage: 4:30 p.m. CT
  • Deposit Point: 9 p.m. CT
  • All other accounts: 6 p.m. local time

¹Local time refers to the location of where the payment account was opened. For example, if the account was opened in St. Paul, MN, the cutoff is based on Central Time. This time zone applies even if your payment is made in California, which is in Pacific Time.
