Setting up an online account only takes a couple of minutes. However, if your information needs to be validated with the IRS, your setup will be delayed.

The validation process can take up to five business days. Once complete, you'll be mailed a PIN within five to seven business days to your address on file with the IRS.

Once enrolled, you’ll have access to different reports and copies of your receipts. If you choose to have these sent electronically, they’re free of charge. If you choose to have them sent by mail or fax, a small fee per item applies.
