How do I add a Shared Access user?

When a Shared Access user is added, an email invitation is sent to them. They need to accept it within 72 hours; otherwise, a new one needs to be sent. Shared Access users have to be at least 18 years of age.

To add a Shared Access user, choose the experience that works best for you:

Online banking steps:

For the best online experience, we recommend logging in at usbank.com.

  1. Select Customer Service from the top of the page, choose Shared access, then select Add User.
  2. Enter the Shared Access user's first and last name.
  3. Choose how you want them to view your account by selecting the applicable radio button.
Use their existing usbank.com login to view my shared accounts on their dashboard:
  • Select this radio button if the person has enrolled in mobile or online banking and established a username. You'll also need their zip code.
  • Since they have a digital profile with us, they can accept multiple invitations and keep their existing username.
Create a new usbank.com username for them:
  • Select this radio button if they don't have a username, haven't enrolled in mobile or online banking, or they're not a customer of U.S. Bank.
  • The reason for choosing this option is they don't have a digital profile with us, so we assigned a username specific to that email invitation. Previously assigned usernames can't be used.
  1. Select Continue, review the confirmation screen, and select Continue once more.

U.S. Bank Mobile App steps:

For the best mobile banking experience, we recommend logging in or downloading the U.S. Bank Mobile App
