How do I chat with a live agent?

Chat with us from online banking

  1. Log into your account if you haven't done so already.
  2. Select Need help? from the top of the page, then choose Contact us.
  3. Select a product/category for your issue or question. Follow any prompts to answer specific questions. 
  4. You will have the option to chat with a live agent if one is available. Choose Live chat

Chat with us from the U.S. Bank Mobile App

  1. From the main menu tap on the Smart Assistant.
  2. Type or say "Chat with a representative."
  3. You'll be given a list of topics to choose from. Select Technical support.
  4. Tap "Chat with a live agent," and you'll soon be connected. 
  5. If the Chat option is not displayed there are no banker available at that time. 

*Depending on your topic, the chat option may not be available. In this case, we'll provide you the best number reach us by phone. We're available by phone 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We accept relay calls.
