How do I chat with a live agent?

We're here to chat Monday to Friday 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. CT. Here's how:

Online Banking 

  1. You must first be logged into your account.
  2. Select Customer service from the top of the page, then choose Contact us.
  3. Select a topic* from the drop-down menu.
  4. Choose Chat with a live agent. This will help us to connect you to the right person.

U.S. Bank Mobile App 

  1. From the main menu tap on the Smart Assistant.
  2. Type or say "Chat with a representative."
  3. You'll be given a list of topics to choose from. Select Technical support.
  4. Tap "Chat with a live agent," and you'll soon be connected. 
  5. If the Chat option is not displayed there are no banker available at that time. 

*Depending on your topic, the chat option may not be available. In this case, we'll provide you the best number reach us by phone. We're available by phone 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We accept relay calls.
