How do I cancel my mortgage payment?

If you need to cancel a payment for your mortgage account, we can help! 

Online banking steps:

For the best online banking experience, we recommend logging in at usbank.com 

  • If you have multiple U.S. Bank accounts:
    1. Select My accounts at the top of the page, then select your mortgage account.  
    2. On the Scheduled Payments section and select the next to the pending payment.
    3. On the pop-up screen, choose Cancel Payment, then Confirm. 
  • If you only have a mortgage:
    1. Choose View, pay & manage below your account details. 
    2. Select Payment at the top of the page of the mortgage dashboard.
    3. Your Scheduled Payments will be listed on the right side of the page.
    4. Select the next to the pending payment to to cancel or the pencil icon to edit the payment information. 

U.S. Bank Mobile App steps:

For the best mobile banking experience, we recommend logging in or downloading the U.S. Bank Mobile App.

  • If you have multiple U.S. Bank accounts:
    1. Select Pay bills & transfer at the bottom of the account dashboard, then choose Pay a bill.  
    2. Choose the payment that you would like to cancel.
    3. Select the payment listed under upcoming payments.
    4. Choose Remove this payment. On the pop-up screen, choose Yes, remove payment 
  • If you only have a mortgage:
    1. Select your mortgage account from main dashboard. 
    2. Choose View, pay & manage below your account details. 
    3. Select Payment at the top of the page of the mortgage dashboard.
    4. Your Scheduled Payments will be listed on the right side of the page.
    5. Select the next to the pending payment to to cancel or the pencil icon to edit the payment information.
