How do I establish a registered cellular device on my profile?

Online banking steps:

To get started, log into online banking and follow these steps:

  1. Select the Customer Service tab from the main menu and choose My Profile.
  2. In the Contact Information section, select Add your mobile information.
  3. Select Replace number to make changes and select Continue.
  4. Select your Quiet times preferences, then Submit.​​​​​​​

U.S. bank Mobile App steps:

  1. Select the Menu icon in the upper left of the account dashboard, then select the Gear icon at the top.
  2. Select Phone number. Completed your authentication method.
  3. Select Phone Numbers to expand the menu, then Edit (found under Primary Mobile Number).
  4. Select Replace number to make changes, then Continue.
  5. Select your Quiet times preferences, then Submit.

By establishing a registered cellular device, this allows you to use features such as account alerts, Send or Receive Money through a mobile phone number, change a debit card PIN, and complete Login Assistance using a one-time passcode. Unfortunately, we're unable to accept foreign phone numbers; only domestic phone numbers are allowed.

The mobile number can only be registered by one person at a time. This means a signer can't register the same mobile phone number that's already been registered by another person or signer. If you attempt to register a mobile number already registered by someone else, you'll receive an error. In this situation, contact Online Banking Technical Support and we can remove the registered cellular device from the other profile.
