How can I use your goal setting tool to set a financial goal and fund it?

Our goal setting tool can help you set money aside for a special occasion, a large purchase, or anything else you can save for. It's easy to get started and you can have up to 10 goals per savings account.

To set a goal using online banking

  1. Select Plan & track at the top of the page, then choose My goals.
  2. Select Get started. Then choose your goal’s category and select Continue.
  3. Personalize your goal:
    1. Name it and enter the amount you want to save.
    2. Enter the date you want to achieve your goal and select Continue.
  4. Choose Connect my goal to an account. Then choose the savings account you want linked to your goal and select Continue.
  5. Select Create my initial funding plan. We’ll suggest how much to contribute each month.
    1. Choose the account to transfer funds from and enter the amount.
    2. Choose the frequency and the start date. Then select Confirm.

To set a goal using the U.S. Bank Mobile App

  1. Select Plan & track at the bottom of the screen, then scroll down to the Goals section and select it.
  2. Choose your goal’s category.
  3. Personalize your goal:
    1. Name it and enter the amount you want to save.
    2. Enter the date you want to achieve your goal and select Continue.
  4. Choose Connect my goal to an account. Then choose the savings account you want linked to your goal and select Continue.
  5. Select Create my initial funding plan. We’ll suggest how much to contribute each month.
    1. Choose the account to transfer funds from and enter the amount.
    2. Choose the frequency and the start date. Then select Confirm.
