How do I make an internal transfer?

Easily transfer fund between your U.S. Bank accounts at any time. 

How to make an internal transfer in online banking

  1. Select Transfer & pay then choose Internal transfer
  2. Choose the account to transfer funds from, then choose which one to transfer funds to.
  3. Enter the amount you would like to transfer.
    Optional: If you want funds sent on another day, use the Calendar to select the one you'd like.
  4. Select Send transfer
  5. If the information is correct, select Send transfer.

How to make an internal transfer in U.S. Bank Mobile App

  1. Select Transfer & pay then choose Make an internal transfer
  2. Choose the account to transfer funds from, then Continue.
  3. Select which one to transfer funds to, then Continue
  4. Enter the amount you would like to transfer.
    Optional: If you want funds sent on another day, use the Calendar to select the one you'd like.
  5. Choose Continue
  6. If the information is correct, select Send transfer.

More information

Transactions made on weekends, holidays or after midnight the cut-off time are processed on the next business day. Cut-off times for the same business day are:

  • 12 a.m. (midnight) local time* for transfers between checking, savings and reserve lines.
  • 9 p.m. CT for deposit point transfers.
  • All other accounts: 6 p.m. local time*

*Local time refers to the location of where the payment account was opened. For example, if the account was opened in St. Paul, MN, the cutoff is based on Central Time. This time zone applies even if your payment is made in California, which is in Pacific Time.
