How do I use your automated phone system to find out why my debit card was declined?

Recent enhancements to our automated phone system lets you to find out the specific reason your debit card was declined.

  1. Call 800-USBANKS (872-2657) and follow the prompts to verify your identity.
  2. After you've been verified, select the checking account the debit card is tied to.
  3. Ask the automated system something like "Why was my debit card declined?"
  4. The system will review your account and provide the specific reason the card declined.

Please be aware, debit card decline reasons are only available for three days.
