How do I change my debit card limits?

We know setting your own daily purchase limit to meet your needs is important. We make it easy to increase or decrease your limits in your digital banking. 

How to change your debit card limits using online banking

  1. Choose any checking or savings account from your dashboard.
  2. Select Account services, located next to Activity.
  3. Choose Transaction limits from Payments.
  4. Scroll to your debit card and select Manage daily limits.
  5. Your current and available range limits will display for purchases and ATM withdrawals.
  6. Choose the Pencil icon to make changes.
  7. Enter the new amount you'd like, then choose Continue.
  8. Review your changes and select Submit to process your changes.

How to change your debit card limits using the U.S. Bank Mobile App

  1. Open the main menu, then choose Manage Cards
  2. Select the debit card you’d like to update.
  3. Scroll to down to Manage daily limits.
  4. Your current and available range limits will display for purchases and ATM withdrawals.
  5. Choose the Pencil icon to make changes.
  6. Enter the new amount you'd like, then choose Continue.
  7. Review your changes and select Submit to process your changes.

Updates to your limits may not be immediately available. As a security measure, card limits are automatically determined for the first year your account is open.
