To close your matured CD using digital banking
- Select your CD account, then choose View maturity options.
- Select Continue to close CD.
- Review your personal information.
- Select Edit my info to make updates.
- Select This info is correct if everything is accurate.
- Enter the one-time passcode and select Continue.
- If you didn’t receive the code, select Send new code.
- Select Continue to calculate return.
- Choose the account where you want to transfer the balance of your CD, then select Continue.
- Review your CD closure details and select Submit.
- You’ll receive confirmation.
More Information
To close your mature CD from your digital banking:
- It cannot be an IRA CD
- It cannot exceed $250,000
- You must be an existing U.S. Bank customer with an existing checking, savings, or money market account
