How do I link external accounts?

Linking external accounts allows you read-only access to your accounts at other financial institutions. When you've linked them, they'll display on your U.S. Bank digital dashboard. There's no limit to how many will display and most types of accounts can be linked.

For example, you'll log into digital banking for bank "A". Follow the steps below to add accounts from bank "B", bank "C", etc. Once the linkage is complete, you'll be able to see all your external accounts in a read-only format.

Online banking steps:

For the best online experience, we recommend logging in at usbank.com.

  1. Select Manage accounts at the bottom of the account list, then choose Link external accounts. If there's none linked, the "Manage accounts" button will say "Link external accounts" instead.
  2. Choose the financial institution the account is with, then sign in with your login credentials.
  3. Review terms and information provided.
  4. Select the check box next to the account(s) you want to see.
  5. We'll show you a summary of what we went over. If you accept, select Connect my account(s).
