How do I cancel or edit autopay for my bills?

You can manage an individual monthly payment or the full set up. Please note, payments can’t be changed or cancelled if it’s less than three business days before the scheduled date.

To edit or cancel autopay the full autopay setup for a bill, follow the steps below. If you need to cancel individual payments, see also: How do I view, edit, or cancel bill payments?

To make changes to your autopay using online banking and the U.S. Bank Mobile App

  1. Select Transfer & pay, choose Pay bills, then select the Autopay tab. 
  2. Choose the biller whose automatic payment you want to cancel or edit.
  3. Select Manage autopay
    • To edit: Update the details, then select Save
    • To cancel: Select Remove autopay, then select Yes, remove my autopay.  

More information

  • When changing or cancelling your autopay, consider reviewing the current month’s payment.
    • If it’s pending, you can cancel it. If needed, you can make a new payment for that billing cycle.
    • If it’s in process or completed, the payment cannot be modified.
  • The next month's automatic payment amount is updated the day after the statement cycles.
