What is a Mortgage Credit Certificate (MCC) and where do I get a copy of it?

A Mortgage Credit Certificate reduces the amount of federal income tax you pay. This gives you more available income to qualify for a mortgage loan and assist with your mortgage payments. The Housing Finance Agency (HFA) is responsible for issuing the certificate. U.S. Bank does not have a copy of the certificate.
