How do I remove an authorized user from my credit card?

To remove an authorized user, please call us. We can be reached at the number on the back of your card. If that’s not available, call Cardmember Service at 800-285-8585. We accept relay calls.

Enter your information into the automated phone system and wait for the main menu. Once there, you can interrupt it and say "representative". This will route you to the next available agent to assist.

Additional information:

  • The option to remove an authorized user isn’t available using the automated phone system, mobile or online banking.
  • If you visit a U.S. Bank branch for the request, please be aware the banker will contact Cardmember Service on your behalf, and you’ll need to remain present until it’s completed.
  • The following individuals are allowed to remove an authorized user:
    • The owner
    • A joint owner
    • The authorized user themselves
