How do I enroll for bill pay?

We are in the process of enhancing our online banking bill pay. Your experience may be different from this article. To view the new process, check our Digital Explorer page. 

Bill pay helps you pay your bills quickly in one place. 

Online banking steps:

For the best online banking experience, we recommend logging in at usbank.com.

  1. Select the Bill Payments tab located on the top menu bar and then select Pay Bills
  2. On the pay bills page, select Enroll in Pay Bills. If you do not see the Enroll button, but instead see:

    • Add a New Biller: Congratulations, you’re already enrolled for Bill Pay!
    • No Eligible Accounts: Sorry, you don’t have an eligible account at this time. If you have a U.S. Bank checking or Money Market Savings account and you still receive this message, please contact us for more information.

  3. Choose the account you want to make bill payments from. Enter your email address, and click Submit to complete the enrollment.

Note: The account you choose here will be your default Bill Pay account, but if you have or open other eligible accounts, you can also choose to pay bills from those accounts.

U.S. Bank Mobile App steps:

For the best mobile banking experience, we recommend logging in or downloading the U.S. Bank Mobile App.

  1. Tap Pay bills & transfer at the bottom of the account dashboard.
  2. Tap Pay a bill
  3. Select Sign Up from the U.S. Bank Bill Pay splash page. If you do not see the splash page you are already enrolled!
  4. Select your primary account from the drop down.
  5. Enter and confirm your Primary Email.
  6. Select Submit to complete the enrollment.
