How do I edit or cancel a one-time Zelle payment?

When modifying a Zelle payment, it needs to be in a pending status. If the option to cancel it isn’t available, the payment is processing and cannot be changed.

Please note, pending payments can only be cancelled. To change the payment, re-schedule a new one with the updated information. Your recipient will receive notice of the activity as well.  

Online banking

  1. Select Send Money at the top of the page, then choose Send Money with Zelle®. 
  2. Select Transactions Timeline from the “Actions” section on the right side of the page.
  3. Within the “Pending payments” section, locate the payment you’d like to modify.
  4. Choose Cancel payment next to it, then select Cancel once more to confirm.

U.S. Bank Mobile App

  1. Select Send money at the bottom of your dashboard and choose Activity.
  2. Within the “Pending payments” section, locate the payment you’d like to modify.
  3. Choose Cancel payment next to it, then select Cancel once more to confirm.
