How do I update my consent to contact preferences?

Change how we contact you about branch and banking alerts, fraud notices, and other non-marketing communications whenever you'd like.

Update contact information and preferences in online banking

  1. Select Profile & settings at the top of the page, then choose Manage profile & settings
  2. Select Edit personal details then select Edit next to the phone number, email or address.
  3. Choose your contact preferences by checking or un-checking the appropriate boxes for each account. Then, select Save

Update contact information and preferences from the U.S. Bank Mobile App

  1. Open the main menu and select the gear icon in the upper right of the screen.
  2. Choose Personal details, then select Edit next to the desired phone or email.
  3. Choose your contact preferences by checking or un-checking the appropriate boxes for each account. Then, select Save

If you've given us your express consent, here's the notifications you can expect:

  • Branch & banking alerts are sent as a text message and tells you when changes occur at a local, regional, or national level that may impact how you bank with U.S. Bank.
  • Fraud notifications are sent as a text message or automated phone calls. They're activated when there's suspicious activity on your account and we need to verify it with you. 
  • Other non-marketing communications are sent as a text message or automated phone calls. The subject of these texts varies widely; however, if you receive one, it will be specific to your account.
