We make it easy to check if your earning categories were selected. And if they weren’t chosen, you can still pick them anytime, even if the quarter has already started.

To check if earnings categories were chosen using online banking and the U.S. Bank Mobile App

1. Select the rewards card, then choose Rewards.
2. Locate the Shortcuts tile and select Bonus categories. There, it’ll list what categories were chosen for cash back earnings.

Category selection begins: Categories can be chosen as early as 45 calendar days before each quarter begins. And they can be changed as often as you'd like, up to five calendar days before that start date.

Category selection ends: On or after the fifth day before the quarter starts, the categories cannot be changed.

About selecting earnings categories

• Authorized users can’t select categories; only an owner or joint owner is allowed to choose them.
• Categories may be selected during the quarter if they haven’t been selected before the quarter begins.
  • Selections made during the quarter aren't retroactive and take up to three business days to take effect.
  • Once the categories are activated, they can’t be changed.
• Categories activated for a quarter won't reactivate for the next quarter if none are selected.
