A registered cellular device has a mobile phone number and can be a cell phone or tablet.
Linking and setting up a phone number allows you to:
- Use account alerts.
- Send or receive money through a mobile phone number.
- Change a debit card PIN.
- Complete Login Assistance using a one-time passcode.
We're unable to accept international phone numbers; only domestic phone numbers are allowed.
To add a registered cellular device using online banking
- Select Profile & settings tab from the main menu and choose Personal details.
- Select Add phone, then enter your mobile number.
- After reviewing the options available on the page, select Save at the bottom.
- You'll receive a one-time passcode to confirm and register your cellular device.
To add a registered cellular device using the U.S. Bank Mobile App
- Select the Menu icon in the upper left of the account dashboard, then select the Profile & settings.
- Select Personal details.
- Select Add phone, then enter your mobile number. Choose Yes to confirm you've entered a mobile number.
- After reviewing the options available on the page, select Save at the bottom.
- You'll receive a one-time passcode to confirm and register your cellular device.

A mobile phone number can only be on file for one person. This means a signer can't register the same number that's already on file by another person or signer. If you attempt to register a mobile number already on file by someone else, you'll receive an error. In this situation, contact us at 800-987-7237. We accept relay calls.
