Transferring payroll can get a little complicated, but we're here to help. A few things to know when switching providers:

  • You'll need to download documents from your previous provider. Check the Payroll Transfer Document to understand which documents are needed.
  • Once you have your documents in order, go ahead and start or continue the enrollment and onboarding process. You'll need to finish onboarding before we can complete the transfer.
  • For the last step, we’ll provide a phone number for you to call so we can complete the transfer together.

U.S. Bank Payroll is a platform that enables small business customers to access third-party payroll processing services provided by Gusto, Inc. through the existing U.S. Bank online banking experience. U.S. Bank is not affiliated with Gusto, Inc.  For more information, please refer to the Embedded Payroll Service page.

  2. Enroll in and process your first payroll with U.S. Bank Payroll between 11/18/2025 and 1/31/2026 and receive three (3) months of waived fees. Waived fees include the U.S. Bank Payroll Service Maintenance fee and up to four (4) U.S Bank Payroll Service Employee Charge fees plus U.S. Bank Payroll Service Sales Tax, where applicable. Fee waivers will be applied consecutively to the first three (3) months beginning the month in which the first payroll is processed and will be reflected in your designated billing account statement at the end of each billing cycle. After these fee waivers end, your designated billing account will be charged in accordance with the U.S. Bank Payroll Pricing Schedule.

    This offer is only valid for customers that have enrolled in U.S. Bank Payroll and have not previously processed payroll with the service. U.S. Bank Payroll requires an active U.S. Bank business checking account. U.S. Bank reserves the right to withdraw this offer at any time without notice.
