Following its annual employee recognition program, Legends of Possible, U.S. Bank announced a total of $100,000 in grants to community organizations serving the Phoenix area. This investment is the first significant philanthropic effort connected to Legends of Possible.

The bank funded donations on behalf of employees who attended the event. As part of their experience, employees were able to choose one of three organizations to support. Each of the organizations align closely with the bank’s enterprise-wide giving platform, Community Possible, which has a philanthropic and community focus on breaking down systemic barriers to racial and economic equity for women, people of color and low- and moderate-income communities.

“Legends of Possible is an opportunity for us to recognize some of our best and brightest employees,” said Art Perez, Community Affairs manager. “As this year’s celebration took place in Phoenix, we used that opportunity to reaffirm our commitment to investing in the communities where we live and work.”

Three organizations were selected as beneficiaries:

  • OneNTen serves LGBTQ youth and young adults ages 11-24 by providing empowering social and service programs that promote self‐expression, self‐acceptance, leadership development, and healthy life choices.
  • New Pathways serves Arizona youth through a holistic development program and 1:1 mentoring within community groups.
  • DreamSpring is an award-winning national nonprofit organization which operates in Arizona and 18 other states that increases access to credit, makes loans, and provides a community of support to help entrepreneurs realize their dreams.
