How do I cancel a stop payment request on a check, ACH, or recurring debit?

If you decide you want to reverse the stop payment previously placed, you can do so using digital banking.

To cancel a stop payment on a check, ACH, or recurring debit using online banking

  1. Select the account the stop payment is associated with. 
  2. Choose Account services, then Stop payments within the “Payments” section.
  3. Select Stop payment history below “View or cancel existing stop payment requests”.
  4. Choose the transaction that has the stop payment request, then select Yes, cancel request.
  5. Confirm the details and select Cancel request once more. You'll receive a confirmation we've canceled your stop payment request. 

To cancel a stop payment on a check, ACH, or recurring debit using U.S. Bank Mobile App  

  1. Select the account the stop payment was previously placed on. 
  2. Choose the Manage tab at the top, then select Stop payments under Account options.  
  3. Select View history below “Already requested your stop payment?”.
  4. Choose the transaction that has the stop payment request, then select Yes, cancel request.
  5. Confirm the details and select Cancel request once more. You'll receive a confirmation we've canceled your stop payment request.
