How do I enroll in and redeem Real-Time Rewards?
Overview
Real-Time Rewards lets you choose what purchases you get rewarded for and you can change the settings at any time. When you get the alert, just reply to redeem and the credit will appear on your next statement. Minimum purchase amounts are $10 for all categories – except for car rentals and lodging, which is $150.
To enroll in Real-Time Rewards using online banking and the U.S. Bank Mobile App
- Select your credit card from the dashboard and choose Rewards. Then select Redeem rewards.
- Choose Real-Time Rewards, then select Enroll now.
- Complete the requested information.
Note: Your name and last four digits of the card number automatically populates on the form.- Enter your mobile number and confirm it.
- Provide a minimum purchase amount (defaults to $10).
- All purchase categories are selected as a default. Uncheck the boxes to customize your choices.
- Review the terms. If you accept, then mark the check box and select Continue.
- Review your enrollment information. If correct, select Confirm.
To redeem Real-Time Rewards using the mobile device enrolled
Once the credit card is enrolled and a purchase is made that meets the criteria chosen, a text message is sent. Simply reply “REDEEM” to get a statement credit for it.
- Gas station and restaurant categories are not available for redemption. Even if they meet some or all of the chosen settings.
- The minimum purchase amount is what you set to trigger a text alert to your mobile device. You won't receive text alerts for purchases that don't meet the minimum purchase amount and categories selected.
For example:- The minimum purchase amount is set to $10 and “grocery stores” is chosen as one of the categories.
- A purchase is made at “The Local Grocers” for $15.25.
- A text alert is sent for the purchase because it’s greater than $10 and from a business categorized as a “grocery store”.
- Purchases at any “grocery store” that’s below $10 won’t receive an alert and they won’t be eligible for Real-Time Rewards based on the settings selected.
