How do I edit or cancel an external account transfer?

We want to help you edit or cancel your transfers. If the transaction is in a pending status, it can be edited or cancelled. However, once the transfer is in process, it can't be changed.

To get started, choose the experience that works for you:

Online banking steps:

  1. Select Transfers, Manage My Transfers, then External Transfers.
  2. Select Activity. Verify the date range encompasses the transfer date and choose Recurring transfers.
  3. Select the arrow icon next to the transaction you'd like to edit.
  4. Choose Edit/Cancel to change the individual transfer; or Edit/Cancel All Remaining Transfers to change all future transfers in a recurring series.

For the best mobile banking experience, we recommend logging in or downloading the U.S. Bank Mobile App.

  1. Select Pay bills & transfer, then choose External transfers.
  2. Select View or edit transfers>, then choose Recurring transfers.
  3. Select the arrow icon next to the transaction you'd like to edit.
  4. Choose Edit/Cancel to change the individual transfer; or Edit/Cancel All Remaining Transfers to change all future transfers in a recurring series.
