How do I edit or cancel an external account transfer?

Before you can edit or cancel an external account transfer:

  • It must be in a pending status and before 7 a.m. CT on the day it's scheduled. 
  • It cannot be a same-day transfer (i.e., needs to be scheduled for a future date).

To edit or cancel an external account transfer using online banking and the U.S. Bank Mobile App

  1. Select Transfer & pay from your dashboard.
  2. From online banking, choose Transfers or from the U.S. Bank Mobile App select Transfer activity.
  3. Select the Scheduled tab and then choose the transfer. 
  4. To cancel: Select Cancel transfer, then confirm once more to remove it. 
  5. To edit: Select Edit transfer, make your changes, then choose Save

More information

  • Same day transfers cannot be edited or changed once they are submitted. 
  • If the transfer is in a status of "Submitted" or "Complete", it cannot be edited or cancelled.
