The bank opened four new branches in the Greater Los Angeles area in 2025
U.S. Bank recently celebrated the grand opening of its new Compton branch at 1759 South Alameda St.
The branch is the fourth new Los Angeles-area location opened in the past year for U.S. Bank, joining the new locations in Commerce, El Monte and Rancho Palos Verdes. U.S. Bank plans to open four additional new branches in Southern California by 2026 slated for Brea, Huntington Park, Garden Grove and Koreatown. In 2025 alone, 300 branches have already been remodeled in priority markets like California.
This focus comes after U.S. Bank’s acquisition of Union Bank at the end of 2022, which added hundreds of California branches, elevating U.S. Bank to the fourth-largest branch network in the state. In the past 30 years, the bank has grown from 12 branches in the state to more than 580 branches.
As California is home to the fifth largest economy in the world, U.S. Bank is expanding its workforce and capabilities in each of its business lines to better serve customers and communities across the state.
“We’re thrilled to bring our new relationship-focused design to Greater Los Angeles with this beautiful new branch,” said Malgy Blue, the Greater Los Angeles market leader at U.S. Bank. “Everything about its design provides a more modern banking experience to help our Compton customers have an amazing experience, allowing our bankers to better interact with our clients and meet their needs more efficiently.”
Inside the new branch designs, customers might experience advancements designed to deliver a digital-first approach that incorporates human interaction and acumen:
Additionally, customers also have access to specialists in business and commercial banking, wealth management, and mortgage services.
One of the new signature features of select branches, such as Rancho Palos Verdes, is a community room available for use by customers, including nonprofit and small business customers, to hold gatherings and meetings. The space can be booked after branch hours and is equipped with a kitchenette and restroom for added convenience.
