Dilip Venkatachari, Dominic Venturo and Derik Farrar recognized in American Banker’s list of the Most Innovative People in Finance

Three U.S. Bank leaders have been named to American Banker’s inaugural list of the Most Innovative People in Finance for 2026, recognizing 50 industry leaders making an impact across banking and financial services.

The U.S. Bank honorees are:

  • Dilip Venkatachari, senior executive vice president and chief information and technology officer, was highlighted for leading the modernization of U.S. Bank’s technology foundation, driving increased automation and AI enablement across technology processes, and building agentic and digital-asset infrastructure that has improved the client experience across channels.
  • Dominic Venturo, senior executive vice president and chief digital officer, was cited by American Banker as driving continuous innovation in digital banking across all client segments, including pioneering several industry firsts; developing U.S. Bank’s enterprise approach to reusable platforms that has transformed the pace of product development; and his leadership in the bank’s fintech collaboration practice, and digital assets and money movement organization.
  • Derik Farrar, senior vice president and head of everyday banking and borrowing, was recognized for delivering great experiences to clients and cutting through the noise with great products, including highlighting a CD offer designed to capitalize on the viral 6-7 internet meme, which drove results and mindshare, in addition to the bank’s collaboration with Greenlight to help kids and parents increase financial acumen and make smarter decisions about their money.

American Banker created the new list to recognize leaders who are moving the industry forward through technology, customer experience, payments, operational modernization and digital transformation. Honorees were selected based on criteria including leadership, investment in innovation, execution and measurable business impact.

“Dilip, Dominic and Derik reflect the depth and range of innovation happening across U.S. Bank,” said Chairman and CEO Gunjan Kedia. “We’re proud to see them recognized and grateful for the leadership, creativity and dedication they bring to our company and to our clients every day.”

American Banker will recognize this year’s honorees during the DIGITAL BANKING conference held June 15–17 in Orlando.
