The larger location gives Bay Area shoppers access to a wider selection of bridal and special occasion gowns along with an enhanced in-store experience.
The family-owned business was able to pursue its growth plans with financing and support tailored to its needs during a major expansion.
The move highlights how access to banking resources can help small businesses invest in their future, serve more customers and strengthen their local communities.
San Jose, California-based Trudy’s Brides and Special Occasions was founded by Steven Blechman’s parents in 1974. He’s worked in the store since high school, and took over alongside his wife, Rebekah, as owners in 2015. Together, they decided to expand the size of the store with a larger selection of bridal gowns and an elevated customer experience. That’s where U.S. Bank came in to help with the process of moving locations.
“They didn’t make us feel like we were a number. They made us feel like family,” Steven Blechman said. “Everyone loves weddings, and the bridal industry is one that everyone can relate to and holds a powerful emotional charge and nostalgia.”
