U.S. Bank named by LinkedIn to 50 best workplaces to grow your career

The Top Companies 2021 list recognizes companies that both attract and invest in talent.

U.S. Bank has been named by LinkedIn as one of the 50 best workplaces to grow your career, as part of the Top Companies 2021 list published by the social network. We’re mentioned alongside other future-focused companies like Amazon, Salesforce, Alphabet and others.

The annual list aims to “go beyond the companies that attract talent to uncover the companies that invest in their talent” and uses proprietary LinkedIn data to assess seven key pillars: ability to advance, skills growth, company stability, external opportunity, company affinity, gender diversity and educational background.

In an article accompanying the list, LinkedIn wrote, “We want this list to serve members well and be a year-round resource to identify the right opportunity for you. While there are some key, overarching themes to a fulfilling career, identifying the right job is personal. And this list is designed to be a starting point for you — these companies are investing in their employees’ careers and one of them (or several of them) might have the right job for you as the next step in your career journey.”

“At U.S. Bank, we put people first,” said Elcio Barcelos, chief human resources officer at U.S. Bank. “That means investing in the unique careers of each of our 70,000 employees and in programs that empower every one of us to bring our diverse perspectives to the table.”

In its summary of U.S. Bank, LinkedIn highlighted our recently announced Access Commitment, which is a new long-term approach led by our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion team to help build wealth while redefining how we serve diverse communities and provide more opportunities for diverse employees. It includes a partnership with McKinsey Black Leadership Academy to expand opportunities for early- and mid-career employees and Black executives.
