What you need to apply for a business bank account

To apply for an account online, you must own 20% or more of your business. Please note that the requirements differ if you apply in person at a branch.

Here’s what you’ll need to start your application.

Full application requirements may vary based on your business type and the account you’re applying for.

Applicant requirements

  • Social Security number (SSN) or Individual Taxpayer Identification number (ITIN)
  • Legal name and home address
  • Email address
  • Mobile number

Business requirements

  • Business Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN)
  • Legal business name and physical address
  • A minimum opening deposit of $100
  • Debit and credit card sales estimates (required for Business Essentials applications)
