April 08, 2021

Venturo and U.S. Bank recognized for new innovations developed in 2020.

Innovation Leader has named U.S. Bank chief digital officer Dominic Venturo to its Top 25 Most Influential Innovators list.

Venturo was featured alongside leaders from other large and future-focused organizations, including Tesla, Netflix, Zoom, Nike, Starbucks, Disney Streaming Services, BioNTech, Moderna and more. The list, selected by writers and editors at the publication, “looked at an individual’s major accomplishments from 2020, also taking into account prior career highlights, as well as recommendations and background from innovators in the [Innovation Leader] network.”

Noted among the accomplishments in 2020 were how U.S. Bank provided customers with more choices to bank when, where and how they wanted to by launching new tools and features. Examples range from the release of the U.S. Bank Smart Assistant in our mobile app to launching an enhanced digital Paycheck Protection Program application process.

“Necessity truly is the mother of invention (and in our case, innovation), and it was a full team effort as we created new do-it-yourself options and used technology to improve do-it-together experiences as well,” Venturo said.

Venturo is a member of our 14-person Managing Committee at U.S. Bank and oversees Digital, which is responsible for all digital strategy and execution and innovation. He has spent the past 22 years with U.S. Bank in positions of increasing responsibility within digital, innovation and product management.

The honor comes amidst a flurry of recent digital awards and accolades at U.S. Bank, including:

  • Business Insider Intelligence ranked the U.S. Bank Mobile App No. 1 in customer service features
  • Cornerstone Advisors rated U.S. Bank’s Mobile Check Deposit feature as No. 1 in the industry for customer experience
