If you recently signed up for or canceled your Amazon Prime membership, it is possible that you will receive a card that does not match the status of your Prime membership. However, you will earn rewards based on your most recent Prime membership status of the Amazon account linked to your card, regardless of which card you received. If you upgraded to Prime, a Prime card will be issued to you after August 14. Continue using your current card until then.2

Yes, you will receive a new credit card account number. You will need to update any recurring payments, bill pay, and automatic billing with your new account number.
Yes, employee cards are also being replaced and should be received in the mail by your employee between late July and early August. If your employee does not receive their card by August 10, contact U.S. Bank to request a replacement.
There will be no impact on your personal credit score. It is possible that a small number of customers will experience a minor and temporary impact to their business credit score during the transition of certain reporting obligations to credit bureaus from American Express to U.S. Bank. Please note that U.S. Bank will not make queries to either personal or business credit bureaus as part of this transition.
If your card account is canceled by American Express or you choose to cancel your card account before August 14, 2026, your account will not be transferred to U.S. Bank.
If your Amazon Business American Express account is closed prior to August 14th, you will not be transitioned to U.S. Bank. In some instances, customers may receive communications from U.S. Bank after canceling their American Express account, including a physical U.S. Bank Amazon Business card. In these instances, customers should destroy the U.S. Bank card. Rest assured, the card will not become active and no account will be created at U.S. Bank.
All unused rewards will automatically transfer to U.S. Bank and will be accessible to redeem starting August 20, 2026.
You can continue to redeem Points with your American Express Amazon Business or Amazon Business Prime card for eligible purchases at amazon.com and amazon.com/Business or towards charges on your statement up until August 12th, 2026.

You may set up and manage your account with U.S. Bank online banking upon receipt of your card. Any information provided to U.S. Bank prior to August 14 will not change account information with American Express. Prior to August 14, continue to manage your account and make payments to American Express. If for some reason your account becomes ineligible to transition to U.S. Bank, your online profile will be deleted.
