Cash back is only earned on eligible Net Purchases. Net Purchases are Purchases minus credits and returns. Not all transactions are eligible for cash back, such as Advances, Balance Transfers and Convenience Checks. Upon approval, see your Cardmember Agreement for details. Account must be open and current (no past due Minimum Payment) on the closing date of the billing cycle in order to earn and redeem cash back. Purchases qualify for Cash back based on how merchants choose to classify their business and we reserve the right to determine which purchases qualify. You will earn 3% cash back for every $1 of the first $4,000 spent annually on Purchases classified as insurance, starting with your January statement and 1% cash back after that.
