Everything you need to know about no-envelope ATM deposits

How are these ATMs different?

These ATMs no longer use envelopes for deposits. On-screen video prompts and indicators will guide you on how to insert your cash and checks directly into the machine. An image of each check is captured for processing, and cash is validated immediately. The ATM calculates the amount of your total deposit. Rejected items are returned to you at the end of your transaction.

How many checks and bills can I deposit at a time?

The no-envelope ATM has two insertion slots, one for cash and one for checks. The check receptor can accommodate a stack of up to 30 checks per transaction. The cash receptor can accommodate a stack of up to 50 bills per transaction.

Do I have to face all my cash or checks the same way?

No, the ATM can read your cash and checks regardless of how they're oriented. However, your transaction will be processed more quickly if checks are inserted face up in the same direction.

How do I know that my deposit has been calculated correctly?

Before completing your transaction, you’ll be shown onscreen the deposit amount the ATM has calculated from the cash and checks you’ve inserted. You have the option to review each check individually to ensure it was read correctly, and you can make changes if the check amount is not correct. Finally, you can print a receipt with a picture of each check and a tally of notes deposited by denomination. Your available balance will be printed on your receipt.

When will my deposit be credited?

Cash is credited to your account immediately. Checks deposited at no-envelope ATMs before 8 P.M. local time are posted that same day.2,3
