Do Even More with the Deluxe Contour Card

Every student on campus automatically qualifies for the basic Contour Card account, but the only funding source for this card account is deposits from your school (financial aid refunds, work-study earnings, etc.)1

The Deluxe Contour Card account allows you to deposit money to the account online from other sources besides your school, including checking and savings accounts, credit cards and even other debit cards.

Contour Card allows you to easily upgrade your account in order to invite a parent to add money to your account online. Parents are sent a link where they log in to a secure website and fund your account. It’s easy and convenient for everyone involved. And if your employer offers direct payroll deposit, you can use it to receive your paycheck as well.

To get the Deluxe Contour Card, all you have to do is provide your Social Security Number during the registration process. We’ll use this number to see if you qualify for the Deluxe Contour Card account – and if you do, we’ll upgrade you automatically.

Pay Friends for Shared Expenses

If you both have the Deluxe Contour Card, you can use the Transfer Funds feature to transfer money right to your friends for shared expenses (think rent, bills, groceries, pizza). Select “Transfer Funds” from the dropdown menu on the home page, and then choose “Add a Friend,” searching by your friend’s email address or mobile phone number.

Once friends are set up, you can transfer funds to them, view past transfers and edit or remove them. Add multiple friends’ accounts to make transfers easy and convenient.

Give Parents a View Into Your Account

As you’re making the transition to financial independence, you may want to keep parents and guardians in the loop so they can help you with your financial choices – and maybe even give you some pizza money.

Once parents or guardians are registered, they can make one-time deposits or schedule recurring deposits. They can see your deposit history, but they won’t automatically have the ability to see the purchases you make.

You can choose to share your transaction history by selecting "Share Transaction History" from the dropdown menu. This will allow them to view both deposits and purchases, so they can help you manage your spending.
