Focus Payroll Card

FOCUS Payroll Card

What Is A Payroll Card?

A payroll card, also know as a pay card or paycheck card is an alternative payment solution to paper checks for payroll disbursements. Payroll cards allow employers to maximize direct deposit participation by directing payments to a prepaid card. It is a simple, efficient and cost effective solution for optimizing electronic payroll.

How Do Payroll Cards Work?

Businesses utilize their existing direct deposit processes to deposit funds into an employee’s Focus Card account.  Employees can then access their funds immediately and use their payroll cards anywhere Visa® or Mastercard®-branded debit cards are accepted. All employees are eligible for the card, and there are no credit checks or bank accounts required1.

Payroll Card Employer Benefits

  • Immediate and sustained cost savings to the bottom line – Reduce costs associated with paper checks, postage, reconciliation or replacement of lost checks.
  • Maximize electronic payments – Improves participation rates in direct deposit and delivers payroll on time2.
  • Ease and convenience – Complements existing direct deposit processes through standard ACH funding or wire transfer.

Payroll Card Employee Benefits

  • Convenience – Funds are automatically loaded to the card, so there’s no need to cash or deposit a check.
  • Widely accepted – Make purchases anywhere Visa or Mastercard-branded debit cards are accepted, and get cash back at participating merchants3.
  • Security – If the card is lost or stolen, the funds are protected by Visa/Mastercard Zero Liability4 and are FDIC insured.
