To open a nonprofit checking account, just bring the following documents to any U.S. Bank branch office. Find a Branch Near You

Employer Identification Number (EIN) or tax ID number
 

Your organization’s Employer Identification Number (EIN) or tax ID number

Document showing when organization was formed
 

A charter, articles of organization, or similar legal document that shows when your organization was formed

Document listing officers of organization
 

A charter or other official document that lists the officers of your organization

Government-issued photo ID
 

A government-issued photo ID and Social Security numbers for you and anyone else authorized to sign checks or make transactions on behalf of your organization
