Customer Check Risk Management

Customer Check Payment Risk Management

Reduce check fraud with instant check verification services.

Now you can offer customers the option of paying by check while dramatically minimizing the risks and costs. With Electronic Check Services (ECS), your customers’ checks are instantly converted into safe electronic transactions at the time of the sale, giving you affordable options that can help reduce bank check fraud.

Minimize risk with authorization and guarantee services.

No business wants to receive a bad check. Our Electronic Check Services offer three flexible service options designed to keep check fraud at bay. Simply choose the right mix of security and convenience for your business. You’ll save time, money and the aggravation of returned checks.

  • Conversion with guarantee - Converts checks to electronic transactions and guarantees funds. The guarantor assumes the risk for all qualified transactions processed.
  • Conversion with verification - Converts checks to electronic transactions and verifies that the check is good. The merchant retains the risk of returned items for all transactions that are processed.
  • Conversion with verification and collections - Offers the advantages of both conversion and verification, while eliminating the need for merchants to perform collections. A third-party provider is used for collection efforts. The merchant retains the risk on returned items but ECS automatically handles all monetary returned items.
