Authentify^® makes it easy to create new accounts and access services by allowing U.S. Bank to verify your identity with the participating companies and government entities you choose. It’s fast, safe and easy, and it’s already in the U.S. Bank Mobile App.

Using Authentify^® to verify your identity together with U.S. Bank is simple, and there are many benefits:

You’re in control.

Authentify^® shares information with the companies you want, and only when you say it’s okay. Your U.S. Bank username and password are never shared with Authentify^® or other companies.

Save time and effort.

Reduce errors associated with filling out forms – no nicknames or typos, just the personal information U.S. Bank has on file for you.

Get things done online.

Authentify^® enables you to do business with the participating companies you choose. It’s fast, safe, and easy because it’s available in the U.S. Bank Mobile App.

You can use Authentify^® together with U.S. Bank to open new accounts, access services, and receive payments with the participating companies you choose to do business with. For instance, you can use it to autofill online applications and forms, saving you time. For your safety, you’ll first need to give us your consent to share your details with another company.

Using Authentify^® together with U.S. Bank puts you in control of the information you share and who you share it with online. It’s built into the U.S. Bank Mobile App and allows you to verify your identity by securely passing the personal information you have already saved with U.S. Bank to the companies you choose.

We’ll ask you for your consent each time you use the U.S. Bank Mobile App to verify your identity when connecting to companies or online services. After you opt in and confirm the accuracy of your information, we’ll encrypt and securely pass it to the company or government entity of your choice, enabling you to sign up or access new accounts and services using trusted personal information from U.S. Bank.

It’s easy – Authentify^® is already available in the U.S. Bank Mobile App. Get started by clicking on the “Use Authentify” button on the websites or apps of any participating company or government entity from your mobile device. You will need an eligible, active U.S. Bank deposit, credit card or loan account. In addition, you must be enrolled in mobile and online banking with us. You will need to accept the Authentify^® Terms of Use. After that, we’ll automatically link your Authentify^® profile with the information that we have on file. We recommend updating the personal information we have on file for you before using the service.

You can update certain pieces of information in the U.S. Bank Mobile App or online banking. If there are other details that you’re unable to update using these methods, please contact us at 800-USBANKS (872-2657) so we can help.

In the app:

Open the main “hamburger” menu and tap your name at the top of the screen to access and edit your profile information.

In online banking:

Select Profile & Settings near the top right of the screen, then choose “Update My Profile” to access and edit your profile information.

In either case, you may be asked to verify your identity using a one-time passcode or security question before you can access your profile.

No. Currently, only the information associated with active personal deposit, credit card or loan accounts is eligible for Authentify^® together with U.S. Bank. Information associated with business accounts, investment accounts and prepaid credit card accounts is ineligible.

No. We don’t charge any fees for the service.

Once you provide your consent, it falls under that company’s data retention policies. You would need to contact them for additional information.

In most cases, the details of the information being shared will be displayed and will await your approval to share your information. We’ll also give you an opportunity to review and confirm that your information is accurate and up to date before consenting to share it.

No. You must have a bank account at a participating financial institution in the U.S. to use this service, and you can use it to validate your identity only with participating companies in the U.S.

1. Using your mobile device, select the “Use Authentify” button from a participating company or government entity.
2. Select U.S. Bank from the list of participating banks.
3. If you already have the U.S. Bank Mobile App downloaded on your mobile device, you’ll be directed to the app’s login screen. If not, you’ll be directed to your app store to download the app.
   Note: Authentify^® together with U.S. Bank is not currently available using a desktop or laptop computer.
4. After you log in, you’ll be asked to accept the Authentify^® Terms of Use before continuing.
5. Follow the prompts to review your information. You’ll need to provide your consent to share your details with the company or government entity. You always have control over whether and when we share your information.

Once you have consented to share your personal information with a company, they may store a copy in their system. Since it's your personal details, it's important to carefully review the displayed information before providing consent, just like you would before manually filling out a form online. If you no longer wish to provide information to a company, then you don’t need to take any additional action. We only share the information once to verify your identity, and we don’t offer additional or updated information to a company or government entity without your explicit consent.

Verifying your identity through U.S. Bank is safe, and it was built with your privacy and security in mind. We use strong security protocols to prevent your information from being identified, accessed or misused when it’s sent through to the companies you chose to do business with. Best of all, you’re in control, so we only share your personal information when you give us explicit consent.

You can share your name, address, phone number, email address and date of birth with third parties. Information is shared on a one-time basis and only after you give your explicit consent.

Your personal information in the U.S. Bank Mobile App is protected with the same security you know and trust from U.S. Bank.
