The U.S. Bank Podcast explores the skills needed to succeed in the economy of the future

With cybercrime on the rise, the United States needs more defenders.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics reports that the role of information security analyst is expected to be one of the fastest-growing areas of employment over the next decade, with a 32% annual growth rate through 2028. To meet the demand for these high-paying roles with a median salary of nearly $100,000, millions of people will need to be trained or retrained in the immediate future.

The latest episode of the U.S. Bank Podcast explores this growing field. It features interviews with Shawn Henry, a former SWAT team member and FBI cybersecurity executive who is now in the private sector, and Ana Panora, an Ecuadorian immigrant who has become fluent in English while working toward a degree in computer forensics at Minneapolis College. The pair shares their journeys and outlooks for the future.

The episode is part of the second season of the podcast, which focuses on the changing world and the skills needed to succeed in the economy of the future. Episodes are available on Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts and Spotify.
