Partners also unveil new U.S. Bank Stadium activations for 2019-2020 season

Football season is here and U.S. Bank is ready to welcome back fans to the start of the third season at U.S. Bank Stadium for the Minnesota Vikings.

This season, U.S. Bank and the Vikings are teaming up in the NFL’s Huddle for 100 initiative, a leaguewide philanthropic initiative that is accompanying the celebration of the 100th NFL season. As part of this initiative, the NFL has set a goal of having 1 million fans across the country donate a total of 100 million minutes of their time toward making an impact in communities.

Huddle for 100 started this summer during training camp, where fans participated in volunteer efforts with U.S. Bank and HandsOn Twin Cities. Volunteerism during training camp included assembling sock bundles, hygiene packs and laundry kits that were distributed to homeless shelters. On other days, volunteers assembled school supply and snack packs that were provided to nonprofit partners at the start of the academic year.

The work continues during game days. This season, U.S. Bank will host the U.S. Bank Huddle for 100 Headquarters at U.S. Bank Stadium (near section 113), which serves as an in-game destination for organizing volunteerism. A grand prize will be awarded at the end of the season to the club with the most total volunteer minutes. Volunteer minutes completed by fans in Minnesota, Iowa, North Dakota and South Dakota will count toward the goal.

“Minnesota is well known for its philanthropic spirit,” said Reba Dominski, chief social responsibility officer at U.S. Bank. “The NFL’s Huddle for 100 Initiative fits perfectly with U.S. Bank’s commitment to volunteerism and our Community Possible giving platform. Together, we will make a difference in our communities. Come out and join us at the Huddle for 100 Headquarters.”

Inside the Huddle for 100 Headquarters, fans can check out the in-wall charity touch screen which features information on nonprofits in Minnesota and how to volunteer with them. Fans will also have an opportunity to “join the huddle” by taking a picture with NowPik photo, which will position the fans amongst the cutouts.

Fans can join the effort by visiting NFL.com/100/huddlefor100 and using #VikingsHuddleFor100 when posting about their volunteerism on social media. Participating fans will have chances to win prizes, including game tickets and team gear, or a donation to a charity when they track their participation on the Huddle for 100 website.
