U.S. Bank announced today that Srini Nallasivan has joined the company as its new chief analytics officer. Nallasivan will lead the bank’s enterprise data strategy and analytics work.
Nallasivan joins the company from AIG, where he has been a global head of digital and data analytics, focusing on consumers, for the past two years. Prior to that role, Nallasivan worked in positions of increasing responsibility in the data and analytics space at Bank of America for 12 years, with experience in leveraging insights to enhance strategy, bank transformation, online banking delivery and anti-money laundering efforts. He also has four years of experience in mainframe and network engineering and holds six U.S. patents in artificial intelligence and wearable sensors.
“Data is one the bank’s most valuable assets, and every insight we gain from our analytics is an opportunity for our employees to better meet the needs of our customers, helping them achieve what is possible in their financial future,” said Kai Sakstrup, executive vice president and chief strategy officer for U.S. Bank. “Srini expertly leverages advanced analytics including big data, machine learning and artificial intelligence to improve the customer experience. He is a great add to our team and will ensure that our analytics capabilities continue to be a key competitive advantage.”
Nallasivan holds master’s degrees in engineering and management from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and telecommunications and network management from Syracuse University. He holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from India. He also is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt, former co-chairman of Safe Alliance in Charlotte, and a former board member of Evanta.
Nallasivan will be based in Minneapolis.
