Should I Refinance My Mortgage?

Can I Get a Better Rate and/or Reduce My Loan Term?

Refinancing your mortgage may be to your advantage, possibly enabling you to do one or more of the following:

  • Lower your interest rate
  • Get cash out from the equity in your home
  • Consolidate debt

Refinancing is also an opportunity to change the term of your loan. For example, if your current mortgage is a 30-year loan, you could decide to change your payment terms with the goal of paying off your home more quickly.

Visit Refinance Your Home, or talk with a U.S. Bank Loan Officer for an overview of the different types of mortgage refinance options we offer.
