Associate Advisors have the shared responsibility for soliciting, developing, managing, and retaining client relationships for Wealth Management.  Position is focused on honing the technical aspects of a given product specialty area and developing the superior client facing skills needed to become an Advisor.  Incumbents need to possess a proven track record of sales support in order to be viewed as a trusted partner to an Advisor.


  2. Responsible for retention, development and growth of high net worth relationships. Identifies new business and cross-sell opportunities.
  3. Uses familiarity with bank departments, products, and services to offer additional product options to address client concerns, ensure optimum mix of products and services, and ultimately maintain and expand the relationship through client satisfaction.
  4. Demonstrates leadership by coordinating with Analysts and Assistants to ensure all clients needs, tasks, and projects are completed in thorough, timely, and accurate manners.
  5. Actively ensures compliance with the U.S. Bank Code of Ethics and all Anti-Money Laundering, Bank Secrecy Act, information security and suspicious activity reporting requirements, policies and procedures.  Actively participates in any required corporate and business line training in these areas.  Follows account opening procedures and understands and follows internal suspicious activity referral requirements and processes, as required for this position. Actively works with customers to understand each customer's normal account activity, as appropriate for this position.



Partner with a Sr. Advisor to assist in a limited number of the most complex relationships. Independently manage a small book of clients by conducting all aspects of relationship management; as well as, focus on generating new business from personal referral network in order to satisfy established sales goals. Role deepens client relationships through customer service, relationship reviews, highlighting additional needs, conducting relevant analysis and presenting solutions.  Requires the ability to direct, guide and manage workflow for each client team, including follow-up to ensure completion of outstanding client requests. Works independently to foresee client needs and capitalize on prior prospecting to solidify new business development. Provides guidance and training to less experienced WM Associates and Analysts. The minimum degree preferred is a bachelor’s degree and the incumbent typically has four to seven years of related experience. Pursuit of professional credentials (CFP, CFA, etc.) a plus.
