National Private Banking (NPB) was formed within U.S. Bank Wealth Management to exclusively wholesale private banking products and services to end clients of partner custodians via third party financial intermediaries such as Registered Investment Advisors (RIAs) and Broker-Dealers. The main product offering of NPB is securities based lending with the full suite of custom private banking products included in the offering.

Position Overview:
The NPB Private Banker supports NPB’s strategic wholesale partnerships; developing, managing, expanding and retaining relationships with and driving engagement from third party RIA and Broker/Dealer firms, their advisors and end-clients. The NPB Private Banker provides counsel and advice on the securities based lending program as well as the other private banking products and services available within the offering. This position is responsible for product delivery and high level customer service primarily through telephone and email contact with clients and their third party advisors.  The Private Banker is also tasked with supporting standards for managing the credit portfolio in a manner that ensures compliance with banking regulations, policies and procedures, credit quality and credit policy requirements.
This position requires National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) registration under the terms of the S.A.F.E. Act of 2008 and Regulation Z.  You will be subject to the required registration process, which includes a criminal background and credit check.  Failure to meet or maintain any of the NMLS registration requirements, including maintaining a satisfactory criminal and credit record, may result in a rescission of your offer or termination of employment.



- Bachelor's degree required
- Five or more years of private banking experience in the financial services industry

- Advanced knowledge of private banking products and services, including credit processes
- Strong relationship management and lending skills
- Strong sales and new business development skills
- Ability to partner with client’s third party advisors to identify and service unique customer needs
- Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to make critical decisions independently
- Excellent telephone and interpersonal skills
