Payments Advisor - West Coast Territory

Elan Advisory Services Payment Advisors (PA) are responsible for sales and new business development within the U.S. financial institution channel, with a primary focus on Stages 1-4 of Elan’s seven stage sales process. 
 
Responsible for:
 
  • Analyzing and researching potential credit union clients to uncover opportunities, triggers for opportunities, and develops and implements sales pitches that generate interest with prospective FI clients.
  • Leveraging complex sales tools, such as: case studies, thought leadership pieces, benchmarking analysis, peer analysis and industry trending to gain an audience, engagement and commitment from key decision makers at prospect financial institutions.
  • Maintaining high level knowledge of multiple U.S. Bank solutions:  consumer and small business credit card program, Commercial Card program, Merchant Services, ATM and Debit processing program, and mortgage solutions.
  • Networking with industry influencers within territory to develop opportunities to gain audiences with prospective credit unions.
  • Developing and maintaining high level of industry knowledge to efficiently and effectively identify trends and opportunities in the FI space.
  • Prospecting and gaining audiences with credit unions from among a portfolio of approximately 300 financial institutions in a multiple state region.
  • Presenting and pitching solutions to senior leaders at prospective credit unions. These presentations, depending on the opportunity and situation, can be over the phone, via WebEx, or in person. 
 
 

Qualifications

 

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience

- Five or more years of sales experience.

- The ability to travel a minimum of 50-60% of the time.

  thinking, and decision making skills.

- Excellent leadership and management skills of processes, projects and

  people, interpersonal, written and verbal communication, analytical,

  presentation, and problem-solving skills.

- Well developed analytical and research skills.

- The ability to work well under deadline pressure with limited direct supervision.

- PC proficiency using a variety of software packages in a Windows

  based environment.  

- Proven ability to prospect and gain commitments in the financial institution

  (FI) industry.

- Thorough knowledge of the U.S. FI market, specifically credit unions.

- A strong understanding of all products and services applicable to target client

  segment

- A thorough knowledge of applicable policies and procedures
