Treasury Management Implementation Project Lead

Customers exploring a move to U.S. Bank as their Treasury Management provider or looking to expand their relationship with U.S. Bank expect a smooth, seamless transition.  This position is responsible for successful onboarding of new and existing comprehensive customer implementations of TM products. 


The incumbent coordinates the onboarding activities via a project management approach and thoughtful planning in tailoring the implementation to the customer’s requirements.  The incumbent analyzes multiple resources and tools to acquire a full understanding of the customer’s unique needs and desired outputs.  The incumbent escalates potential obstacles appropriately and communicates project status effectively, keeping all parties informed. 


Job Description


  • Serve as project lead for comprehensive implementation of Treasury Management products ensuring a superior customer onboarding experience.
  • Lead and schedule customer calls, analyze business needs, plan agendas and engage relevant parties as needed.
  • Participate in and contribute to projects led by Technical Implementation Coordinators or Enterprise-wide initiatives.
  • Maintain project documents including, but not limited to, implementation schedules, project spreadsheets, TMIG product documents and other documents as applicable.
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of external customer participants and internal U.S. Bank staff, establishing and maintaining positive working relationships.
  • Utilize multiple resources and tools to acquire a full understanding of our customer’s needs and desired outputs.
  • Respond to unique customer needs and situations to affect a positive outcome when presented with obstacles and challenges.
  • Seek manager insight for department level process flow and reporting impacts.
  • Adapt and translate implementation processes for customers and apply them to actionable and practical plans.
  • Provide advanced expertise, training, guidance and technical support to less experienced team members.
  • Utilize data gathering tools, such as survey/questionnaires, work sampling, etc., to ensure that appropriate quantitative and qualitative data is gathered from the customer to identify the scope for requested services.
  • Compile and analyze information that is very detailed and often interpretive, making implementation and project recommendations based on the findings. 
  • Actively ensure compliance with the U.S. Bank Code of Ethics and all Anti-Money Laundering, Bank Secrecy Act, information security and suspicious activity reporting requirements, policies and procedures.


Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Three to five years experience in Treasury Management or other related branch or operations experience and/or project management positions

  • Intellectual curiosity with the ability to assess a situation, seek multiple perspectives, gather additional information if needed and formulate an action plan
  • Strong understanding of project management practices and goals
  • Possess sound judgment and decision-making skills
  •   Comprehensive to Subject Matter Expert (SME) knowledge of all TM products and a basic understanding of how customers use them
  •   Thorough understanding of TM Product Delivery processes with the ability to adapt processes to meet customer’s unique needs
  •   Strong planning and organizational skills to develop and manage TM Product implementation schedules, review implementation plans, track issues and report on results
  •   Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects and deadlines simultaneously, set priorities and adapt to changing conditions 
  •   Ability to lead a team, inspire trust and confidence as meeting facilitator and promote collaborative relationships with internal and external customers
  •   Strong knowledge of compliance guidelines, policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements relating to customer documentation
  •   Excellent computer skills, especially Microsoft Office applications
