Technical Business Analyst

U.S. Bank is seeking a dynamic IT Analyst with reporting, data, and cost analysis experience to contribute toward the success of our technology initiatives. Position focuses on service or management reporting, business reviews, technology cost analysis, and other project related activities. Provides analysis and support to management for highly visible projects and initiatives. Tie costs to the technology to better understand the total cost of ownership for business line resources. Ability to represent technology solutions, initiatives, and issues on behalf of Distributed Technical Services to business lines across the organization and communicate (or tell the story) in an impactful manner through business reviews and presentations. Occasionally manages small projects. Frequently interfaces with Distributed Technology teams and business lines with regard to technology related costs, capital expenditures, as well as various projects. Supports and produces management reports such as business reviews, financial forecasting and variances, and audits. Acts as a project liaison with other departments. Analyzes current costs and estimates the cost or cost savings. Compiles and analyzes information for an assigned project or areas making recommendations based on findings.




Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (Computer Science, Finance, Business, Economics, Statistics, Analytics) and equivalent work experience desired
- Three to five years of experience in project management activities, IT environment, data analysis, or financial responsibilities
- Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint

- Knowledge of IT environment
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Knowledge of project management
- Capable of analyzing technical data, statistics, and KPI’s across multiple teams within IT
- Creating and managing content/data through various tool sets (MS Office, SharePoint, Web Portals)
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Effective in networking and building relationships across business lines, technology teams, and finance

Responsibilities Include
- Help calculate true cost of ownership for infrastructure related resources
- Assist with technology project expense oversight
- Manage and audit monthly business review
- Create presentations and leverage the business review to assist in telling the story on behalf of DTS
- Develop, report, and assess KPI’s related to audits, SLA’s, performance, and other defined areas as needed
- Asset tracking and inventory management
- Project management support when necessary
