U.S. Bank is seeking a Continuous Improvement Consultant / Sustainable Process Solutions Consultant to contribute toward the success of our process improvement initiatives.
Sustainable Process Solutions (SPS) is an enterprise wide function with four main areas of responsibility: Projects, Enterprise Programs, Better Ways of Working Implementations, and the Better Ideas Program. The SPS team solves challenging and complex business problems across various functions providing a broad exposure across U.S. Bank. As a team member, you will work closely with colleagues at all levels, from senior business leaders to front line staff.
Consultants collaboratively work with team members and Business Partners to assess, improve, and implement sustainable solutions within one or more workstreams to manage key deliverables. To be successful, Consultants need to develop strong working relationships with business partners, subject matter experts, support functions, and other key stakeholders.
Responsible for the assessment, design, and delivery of enterprise-wide process improvement initiatives
Provides objective advice, expertise and specialist knowledge with the aim of creating value, maximizing growth, or improving business performance
Conducts project planning, data collection/analysis/synthesis, SME interviews, process mapping, gap analyses, and solution development
Evaluates improvement opportunities and helps define solutions to reduce complexity, improve customer experience, increase productivity, and reduce costs
Develops and manages detailed work plans to produce current state, future state, and gap analysis deliverables.
Produces deliverables and final presentations for senior executive audiences
Will require travel 30-75% depending on project and location
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
5-7 years of progressive related experience with proficiency and understanding in one or more functions, including 2+ years of experience in Continuous Improvement / Process Improvement roles.
Demonstrated skills and experience in process assessment (documenting as-is) and process analysis (identifying improvement opportunities and defining future state).
Previous work experience within project teams to drive complex projects from process assessment to future state definition to solution delivery (including integration of process, people, and technology solutions).
Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills. Highly skilled in the MS Office suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, and Word). Strong presentation development and verbal/written communication skills.

Experience in management consulting at a top-tier firm

Proficiency and understanding in one or more functions in banking or financial services
Training/certification in Lean Management System, Lean Six Sigma, Process improvement, and/or Project management methodologies/tools
