The Channel Optimization Product Owner Manager will lead a distributed team of product owners that serve as the primary liaisons between key business and technology stakeholders for our customer facing desktop and mobile channels. This person will mentor, coach and directly supervise a growing team of product owners that are critical to the success of the bank’s channel optimization initiative. The Product Owner Manager will interface with leaders across business and technology to drive continuous improvement of the CO workstream and be accountable for rapid, efficient, and timely feature delivery. 
This role will report directly to the Channel Optimization Leader.
  Responsibilities :
  • Promote efficient release planning: Ensure teams are properly utilized but not over-leveraged  
  • Educate our business partners on new features and related processes and ensure team is equipped and trained appropriately (ensure internal readiness)
  • Ensure compliance with firm mandated risk governance and training
  • Work closely with technology, UX, product management, and operations to guide implementation and ensure that feature delivery goals are met
  • Proactively learn about USB business, competition, and customer segments
  • Champion high quality feature delivery by:
    • Ensuring what has been agreed upon with our “internal” customers is what has been designed
    • Ensuring what has been designed is what has been implemented
    • Ensuring what has been implemented is properly validated and ready for release
    • Ensuring that our internal/external customers are prepared and trained for the new products being deployed
  • Successfully navigate a matrixed organization by leveraging the power of influence
  • Responsible for tracking team progress and providing visibility to key stakeholders on delivery timeline during sprint/release cycles
  • Provide visibility into risks and work with directly with key stakeholders to resolve them
  • Assess project staffing needs, efficiently distribute work and escalate critical blockers as required
  • Ensure the success of product owner staff by mentoring, coaching, and “plugging” gaps where necessary
  • Responsible for executing on process improvement initiatives
  • Accountable for establishing agile performance goals (internally)
  • Responsible for producing ongoing executive status reporting

Basic Qualifications
- Master's degree, or equivalent work experience
- 10 or more years of experience in project management and leadership activities
- Five or more years of managerial experience
Preferred Skills/Experience
- 3-5 years leading agile teams 

- Experience as a product owner in a scrum environment (excellent backlog management and story writing skills are necessary)

- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, rapid growth environment and collaborate actively and effectively on multidisciplinary teams

- Superior analytical, problem-solving, quantitative, and critical thinking abilities

- Impeccable interpersonal communication skills with a variety of technical and non-technical audiences

- Strong technical understanding of iOS and/or Android platforms and the differences between them

- Exceptional problem solving: The right candidate will constantly and independently try to solve problems (issues can range from people to tech to business)

- Demonstrated success operating in a geographically distributed staffing environment

- The courage to give your team, peers and managers constructive feedback

- Ability to be an advocate for the customer and communicate a well-defined, data driven point of view

- Experience working with complex, technical system integrations

- Knowledge of site metrics/performance reporting software, such as Adobe Analytics, AppDynamics, Dynatrace desired

- Banking, Fintech ,consumer lending industry experience a plus

- Certified Scrum Product Owner credential a plus

- Degree in business administration, computer science, engineering or other technical field desired
